IRCC has offered 84,874 ITAs in Express Entry so far in 2024
As of 19 September 2024 (the last draw considered for the tally), IRCC has offered 84,874 Invitations to Apply for Canada PR Visa compared to the 81,948 ITAs offered in 2023 as of September 20.
One noteworthy fact is that the allocation of newcomers under the Express Entry System has been increased from 2023 to 2024. This is as per the Immigration Levels Plan for 2024 to 2026. Meanwhile, if you are keen to move to Canada in 2024, it is essential that you check PR eligibility for Canada.
The allocation of skilled immigrants under Express Entry in 2023 was 82,800. It has been increased to 110,770 skilled immigrants for the year 2024.
Number of Express Entry draws in 2024 compared with 2023
IRCC has so far conducted 37 draws in the Express Entry System across 9 diverse streams and categories. The average of ITAs allocated in these draws is 2,294 while this is highly variable based on the stream or category under consideration.
By this time in 2023, IRCC has conducted 28 draws across 8 diverse streams and categories. The average of ITAs allocated in these draws is 2,927 while this is again highly variable based on the stream or category under consideration.
Tumblr media
The disparity in the number of draws conducted is partially owing to the landmark July in the Express Entry System in 2024 as IRCC conducted 9 draws. This was the highest number of draws held in one month so far after the launch of Express Entry in 2015.
The selection draws based on categories in Express Entry were launched by IRCC in 2023. This policy allows it to specifically target candidates that fulfill the nation’s demographic and economic needs.
IRCC has offered more number of ITAs in 2024 so far in comparison with the same period in 2023. However, a deeper assessment of the data will reveal interesting insights.
Category-based Selection Draws
IRCC adopted the selection draws based on categories to choose specific candidates through the Express Entry System. It is possible to offer ITAs to candidates by offering more value to their unique human capital factors rather than only their score in the Canada CRS score calculator. These can be their language proficiency or work experience.
At present, the following categories exist in Express Entry:
·  STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Occupations
·  Healthcare Occupations
 · Trade Occupations
·  Agriculture and Agri-food Occupations
· Transport Occupations
·  Proficiency in French language
Allocation of ITAs in 2024 and 2023 based on Categories
The below table displays the number of draws held according to the stream/category and the number of ITAs offered till now in every stream/category so far in 2024 and the same period in 2023:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You must note that there is a steep rise in the number of draws held under CEC and PNP under Express Entry after May and June 2024. This is after the statement from Marc Miller the Immigration Minister to conduct increased numbers of draws domestically for candidates in Express Entry.
A total of 4 draws under PNP and nil under CEC were conducted in Express Entry in 2023. On the other hand, so far in 2024, 6 draws in CEC and 8 in PNP have been already held. The enhanced prominence of the category French Language Proficiency also has to be noted.
Category-wise CRS cut-off
The following table displays the lowest and highest cut-off scores for the years 2023 and 2024 based on selection categories and streams for the same period. This will offer better comparative clarity on stream/category-wise cut-off scores.

Crucial Factors for Canada PR Eligibility Explained
Tumblr media
Canada, known for its welcoming immigration policies and diverse opportunities, continues to attract individuals from around the world who aspire to become permanent residents. To achieve this coveted status, understanding the crucial factors for Canada PR (Permanent Residency) eligibility is of paramount importance. In this comprehensive guide, we will delve into the key elements that determine whether you qualify for Canada PR, from points-based systems to language proficiency and more.
1. Express Entry System
The Express Entry system is a vital channel for many aspiring Canadian permanent residents. It is used to manage applications for three major economic immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class. Here are the essential components of this system:
a. Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)
The CRS assigns points to candidates based on factors such as age, education, work experience, and language proficiency in English and French. The total CRS score plays a crucial role in determining your eligibility for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency.
b. Eligible Occupations
To be eligible for Express Entry, your occupation must fall within the National Occupational Classification (NOC) system, particularly the skill type 0, A, or B.
2. Age
Your age is a crucial factor when applying for Canada PR. While there is no specific age limit, candidates between 20 and 29 years of age receive the maximum points for this category. As you grow older, you will receive fewer points. Applicants aged 45 and above receive no points for age.
3. Education
Educational qualifications are assessed based on your highest level of education completed. Points are awarded based on the level of your education and whether it was obtained in Canada or another country.
4. Work Experience
Work experience is another critical factor. Canadian immigration authorities evaluate your past work experience, giving preference to candidates with skilled work experience in Canada. The more years of full-time work experience you have, the more points you can earn.
5. Language Proficiency
Canada is a bilingual country, and language proficiency is a significant component of Canada PR eligibility. Applicants must demonstrate their ability in either English or French. The language proficiency test scores play a key role in determining your CRS score.
6. Adaptability
The adaptability factor takes into account various aspects, including your spouse or partner's education, language proficiency, and work experience, as well as previous work or study experience in Canada. These factors can boost your CRS score.
7. Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs)
Provincial Nominee Programs offer another pathway to Canada PR. Each Canadian province and territory has its PNP with specific eligibility criteria. If you meet the requirements of a particular PNP, you may receive a provincial nomination, which significantly boosts your CRS score and increases your chances of receiving an ITA.
8. Family Sponsorship
If you have a close family member who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, they may be able to sponsor you for Canada PR. Eligible relatives can include parents, grandparents, spouses, or common-law partners.
9. Humanitarian and Compassionate Grounds
In some exceptional cases, individuals who do not meet the standard criteria may still be eligible for Canada PR on humanitarian and compassionate grounds. These cases are assessed individually, taking into account the specific circumstances and hardships faced by the applicant.
10. Refugees and Protected Persons
Canada has a long-standing commitment to welcoming refugees and protected persons. If you have been granted refugee status or protected person status in Canada, you may be eligible for permanent residency.
11. Latest Updates and Changes
Canada's immigration policies and eligibility criteria are subject to change. It's essential to stay updated with the latest developments to ensure your application aligns with the most current requirements. Immigration authorities regularly make adjustments to address the country's economic and demographic needs.
Conclusion
Achieving Canada's PR status is a goal for many individuals seeking a better life in a diverse and prosperous country. Understanding the crucial factors for Canada PR eligibility, including the Express Entry system, age, education, work experience, language proficiency, and various immigration pathways, is essential for a successful application. Whether you're a skilled worker, a family member of a Canadian resident, or someone seeking refuge, knowing the eligibility criteria and keeping up with policy changes will help you navigate the Canadian immigration process effectively and increase your chances of becoming a permanent resident in this welcoming nation.

What is the Eligibility Criteria for Canada PR from India?
Canada has long been a preferred destination for immigrants seeking better opportunities and a high quality of life. The country’s welcoming immigration policies make it an attractive choice for many, including those from India. Obtaining permanent residency (PR) in Canada is a significant step toward realizing the Canadian dream. In this article, we will explore the Canada PR Eligibility criteria from India.
Tumblr media
Canada’s Express Entry System
One of the most popular pathways to obtain Canadian PR from India is through the Express Entry system. This system manages applications for three major economic immigration programs:
Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
Eligibility Criteria for Express Entry:
Education: Applicants must have at least a Canadian equivalent one-year diploma or degree.
Language Proficiency: Proving your language proficiency in either English or French is essential. This is typically done by taking an approved language test, such as IELTS for English and TEF for French.
Work Experience: You must have skilled work experience. For the FSWP, you’ll need at least one year of continuous, full-time or equivalent part-time experience. For FSTP, you should have at least two years of full-time work experience, or an equal amount of part-time work.

Invitation to Apply (ITA): Those with the highest CRS scores are invited to apply for PR during regular draws from the Express Entry pool.
Financial Proof: You’ll need to show you have sufficient funds to support yourself and your family in Canada.
Make sure check this link:- Canada PR
Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs)
In addition to the Express Entry system, Canada also has Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). These programs allow provinces and territories to nominate individuals for PR based on their specific labor market and economic needs.
Eligibility Criteria for PNP:
Connection to the Province: Each province has its own criteria for selecting candidates. Generally, you should have a genuine connection to the province, such as a job offer, work experience, or family ties.
Express Entry or Non-Express Entry: Some provinces have Express Entry-linked streams, while others have non-Express Entry streams. Ensure you meet the criteria of the specific stream you are applying through.
Family Sponsorship
Canada also allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor family members for PR. This can include spouses, common-law partners, dependent children, parents, and grandparents.
Eligibility Criteria for Family Sponsorship:
Relationship: You must have a genuine relationship with the person you wish to sponsor.
Financial Responsibility: Sponsors must prove they can financially support their family members for a certain period.
Eligibility of the Sponsored Person: Sponsored individuals must meet admissibility requirements and undergo medical and security checks.
Conclusion
Obtaining Canadian PR from India involves meeting specific eligibility criteria, whether through the Express Entry system, Provincial Nominee Programs, or family sponsorship. The process can be complex and competitive, so it’s essential to thoroughly understand the requirements and seek professional guidance if needed. With the right qualifications and a well-prepared application, your Canadian dream can become a reality.

Canada PR Eligibility for Express Entry Programs: A Comprehensive Guide
Tumblr media
Canada is a country known for its diverse culture, strong economy, and high quality of life. Many individuals around the world aspire to make Canada their home. One of the most popular pathways to achieve permanent residency in Canada is through the Express Entry programs. These programs are designed to attract skilled immigrants who can contribute to the country's economy and society. In this article, we will explore the Canada PR Eligibility through Express Entry programs, offering a detailed understanding of the process.
What is Express Entry?
Express Entry is a system used by the Canadian government to manage applications for permanent residency from skilled workers. It includes three main immigration programs:
1. Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
2. Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
3. Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
Express Entry uses a points-based system known as the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to rank candidates based on their age, education, work experience, language proficiency, and other factors. The highest-scoring candidates are invited to apply for Canada PR.
Eligibility Requirements for Express Entry
To be eligible for the Express Entry programs, candidates must meet specific requirements. These requirements are essential for both the Federal Skilled Worker Program and the Canadian Experience Class. The Federal Skilled Trades Program has its own set of criteria, which we'll discuss separately.
1. Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) Eligibility
The FSWP is designed for individuals who have the education, work experience, language skills, and other attributes that will help them integrate successfully into the Canadian labor market.
Eligibility criteria for the FSWP include:
a. Skilled Work Experience: Candidates must have at least one year of full-time (or equivalent part-time) skilled work experience in a National Occupational Classification (NOC) code 0, A, or B. This experience should have been gained within the last ten years.
b. Language Proficiency: Applicants must demonstrate their proficiency in English and/or French by taking an approved language test (e.g., IELTS for English). You must achieve a minimum level of language proficiency to be eligible.
c. Education: Candidates must have completed at least a Canadian high school diploma or its equivalent from another country.
d. Settlement Funds: Applicants must show that they have enough funds to support themselves and their family members in Canada. This requirement is waived if you have a valid job offer from a Canadian employer.
e. Express Entry Profile: You must create an Express Entry profile and score a minimum number of points under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
2. Canadian Experience Class (CEC) Eligibility
The Canadian Experience Class is for individuals with work experience in Canada, often gained through temporary work permits. To be eligible for this program, you must meet the following criteria:
a. Skilled Work Experience: You must have at least one year of full-time (or equivalent part-time) skilled work experience in Canada within the last three years before applying.
b. Language Proficiency: Just like the FSWP, CEC applicants must take an approved language test and meet the required language proficiency levels.
c. Plan to Live Outside Quebec: While Express Entry is a federal program, candidates must intend to reside in a province or territory other than Quebec.
d. Express Entry Profile: Create an Express Entry profile and achieve a minimum CRS score.
3. Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) Eligibility
The Federal Skilled Trades Program is designed for individuals with experience in specific skilled trades. To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:
a. Skilled Trade Qualification: You must have at least two years of full-time work experience (or an equivalent part-time) in a skilled trade within the last five years. This experience should be in a qualifying skilled trade occupation under the NOC.
b. Job Offer or Certificate of Qualification: You need either a valid job offer for at least one year or a Certificate of Qualification in your skilled trade issued by a Canadian provincial or territorial authority.
c. Language Proficiency: Like the other Express Entry programs, you must take an approved language test and meet the minimum language proficiency levels.
d. Plan to Live Outside Quebec: As with the other programs, you must intend to reside in a province or territory other than Quebec.
Creating an Express Entry Profile
Regardless of the program you are eligible for, all Express Entry candidates must create an online profile. This profile is your formal expression of interest in becoming a permanent resident of Canada. It includes detailed information about your education, work experience, language skills, and other factors. Once you create your profile, you will be placed in the Express Entry pool.
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)
The CRS is a point-based system used to assess and rank candidates in the Express Entry pool. Points are awarded based on various factors, including:
1. Age
2. Education
3. Work experience
4. Language proficiency in English and/or French
5. Job offers or provincial/territorial nominations
6. Adaptability factors (such as spousal language proficiency and Canadian work experience)
Candidates in the Express Entry pool are given a score out of a maximum of 1,200 points. The highest-scoring candidates receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency during regular Express Entry draws conducted by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Express Entry Draws and Invitations to Apply (ITA)
Express Entry draws are typically held every two weeks. During these draws, candidates with the highest CRS scores are invited to apply for permanent residency. Those who receive an ITA have 90 days to submit a complete application for permanent residency.
Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) Express Entry Streams
Many provinces in Canada have their own immigration programs that are aligned with Express Entry. These Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) allow provinces to select candidates from the Express Entry pool based on their specific labor market and economic needs.
If a candidate receives a provincial nomination through an Express Entry-aligned PNP stream, they are awarded an additional 600 CRS points, virtually guaranteeing an ITA. This makes PNP nominations a valuable pathway to Canada PR for Express Entry candidates.
Conclusion
The Express Entry programs are a popular and efficient way to obtain permanent residency in Canada. By meeting the Canada PR eligibility requirements, creating a strong Express Entry profile, and securing a high CRS score, candidates increase their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply for permanent residency. Additionally, provincial nomination programs offer an excellent opportunity to boost one's CRS score and improve their prospects of achieving Canada PR. As the Canadian government continually updates its immigration policies and requirements, it is essential for potential applicants to stay informed and work with experienced
immigration consultants or lawyers to navigate the process successfully. Canada's Express Entry system opens the door to a new life in a welcoming and diverse country for skilled individuals around the world.

Understanding Express Entry
The Express Entry system is an online application management system designed to streamline the immigration process for skilled workers. It encompasses several federal economic immigration programs, including the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class. Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) are also linked to Express Entry.
Eligibility Requirements
Before you dive into the Express Entry application process, it’s essential to ensure that you meet the basic eligibility criteria. Here’s a breakdown of the primary requirements:
A. Skilled Work Experience: To be eligible, you must have at least one year of continuous full-time or an equal amount in part-time work experience in a skilled occupation within the last ten years. The skill type must fall under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) categories 0, A, or B.
B. Language Proficiency: You need to prove your language proficiency in either English or French by taking an approved language test. Adequate language skills are crucial and can significantly affect your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which is used to rank candidates.
C. Educational Qualifications: You must have completed a Canadian secondary or post-secondary educational credential, or an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report from a designated organization, demonstrating that your foreign education is equivalent to Canadian standards.
D. Proof of Funds: You should have sufficient funds to support yourself and your family members if applicable when you arrive in Canada.

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)
The CRS is a point-based system used to rank candidates in the Express Entry pool. It takes into account factors like age, work experience, language proficiency, education, and more. The higher your CRS score, the better your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency. To improve your CRS score, consider factors like improving your language proficiency, obtaining a job offer from a Canadian employer, or receiving a Provincial Nomination.
Express Entry Pool and Invitations
Once you meet the eligibility criteria and create an Express Entry profile, you’ll be placed in the Express Entry pool. Regular draws are conducted, and candidates with the highest CRS scores receive ITAs. When you receive an ITA, you’ll have 90 days to submit your application for permanent residency.
Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs)
Many provinces and territories in Canada have their PNP streams linked to Express Entry. If you receive a nomination from a province or territory, it will significantly boost your CRS score and increase your chances of receiving an ITA.
Completing Your Application
If you receive an ITA, you’ll need to provide various documents to support your application. These include police clearances, medical exams, and proof of funds, among others. Ensure that you submit a complete and accurate application within the specified timeframe.
Conclusion
Canada’s Express Entry system is a popular and efficient way to obtain permanent residency in this diverse and welcoming country. By understanding the Canada PR Eligibility requirements and taking steps to improve your CRS score, you can increase your chances of becoming a Canadian permanent resident. Whether you’re a skilled worker, a tradesperson, or someone with Canadian work experience, Express Entry offers an accessible and transparent path to make your dream of living in Canada a reality.
